Our Mission
The mission of TSA-Utah is to improve the lives of individuals and families who are affected by Tourette Syndrome and its associated disorders of OCD, ADHD, and so on. To accomplish this, we have established the following objectives:
- To educate the public about Tourette Syndrome
- To provide advocacy for individuals and families coping with this disorder
- To support the national association in its extensive medical research programs
- To be an informed resource for individuals, families, and institutions
Our Philosophy
The philosophy of TSA-Utah is that the chapter can be a vehicle through which a positive improvement is achieved in the quality of life for individuals with Tourette's and their caregivers.
We strive to foster support and education through peer interventions, monthly meetings, guest speakers, fundraising, newsletters, youth and family activities, information and referrals, and awareness about Tourette's.
We network and develop partnerships with other associations in an effort to better manage and cope with the associated behaviors of Tourette Syndrome, such as OCD, ADHD, etc.
We believe our efforts will empower individuals to tap into their personal and inner resources to release the unique gifts within themselves.
